The RIX LPR L6R Thermal Imaging Riflescope puts a 640×512 sensor behind a 50mm F0.9 lens, with 3–9× optical zoom and a laser rangefinder that reaches 2000 m. You can move the ranging point so it sits on the centre of your reticle, and the picture shows on a 2560×2560 AMOLED display. The LPR sits with the RIX Leap series on our site. It is a 640 thermal scope, so if you want more detail on animals far out, look at the 1280 sensor in the RIX Leap L12R.

RIX LPR L6R Features
Rangefinder point you can line up with your reticle
If the laser point and the reticle don’t line up, you range one spot and aim at another. On the LPR L6R you shift the laser point until it matches the reticle centre. After that, ranging and aiming happen in the same place and you don’t have to find the animal again before the shot. The rangefinder measures out to 2000 m.

Optical zoom with digital zoom on top
The 50mm lens gives 3× base magnification and zooms optically to 9×, so the image stays clean as you close in. Digital zoom of 1–4× sits on top for a closer look. Both are set from controls near the eyepiece, and the on-screen menu can scale with the zoom level so the text stays easy to read.
Ballistics that use the weather
Built-in sensors read temperature, humidity and air pressure, and the ballistic calculator uses those readings with the range to give you a hold point. When the air changes over a long night, the solution changes with it.

Big controls you can use with gloves
The knobs and buttons are large and laid out to match the menu on screen. A small lever on the focus ring makes it easier to turn when your hands are cold or gloved.

21700 or 18650 batteries
The LPR L6R runs on a 21700 cell and also takes an 18650, with about 5.5 hours from one battery. Carry spares and swap them in the field, or run it from a power bank through the USB-C port.

LPR L6R or Leap L6R?
Both use a 50mm F0.9 lens. The LPR L6R adds a 640×512 sensor, a 2560×2560 AMOLED display, 3–9× optical zoom, a 2000 m rangefinder you can align with the reticle, and weather sensors for the ballistic calculator. The RIX Leap L6R has a 640×480 sensor, 2.8–8.4× optical zoom and a 1920×1080 display. Choose the LPR if you range and shoot at long distance often.
