HIKMICRO Thunder 4.0 FAQs

Do I need to re-zero my rifle?

A clip-on sits in front of your day scope and you aim with the day scope's own reticle, so your existing zero stays in place. Point-of-impact precision on the Thunder 4.0 is about 1 MOA. Check your point of impact after fitting it.

What do I need to mount it?

You need an adapter that suits your day scope's objective. An adapter is not included. See our clip-on adapters and the thermal mounts guide.

Can I use it as a handheld monocular?

Yes. The rear has an M52 × 0.75 thread for an optional eyepiece, sold separately, which turns it into a handheld thermal monocular for spotting.

How is it different from the Thunder 3.0?

Thunder 4.0 adds an AMOLED display, HSIS with Sync Pro and a 1280 model. See the HIKMICRO Thunder 3.0 range to compare. For more options, see our HIKMICRO 640 clip-ons or all thermal clip-ons.
