Choosing a HIKMICRO Alpex 4K Lite

The Lite keeps the 4K sensor of the Alpex family but trims the size and weight, which makes it easy to carry all day.

A40E or A40EL?

The A40EL adds a laser rangefinder that measures from 3 m to 1000 m. Choose it if you shoot across open paddocks or hilly country. The A40E is the simpler choice for closer bush and crop-edge shooting.

What does the 40 mm lens mean in the field?

The 40 mm F2.0 lens starts at 5.8× and zooms to 20.5×. That gives a wider view than the 50 mm models, which helps when following moving foxes or pigs at closer range.

How light is it?

The A40EL weighs around 474 g, so it balances well on lighter rimfire and centrefire rifles.

HIKMICRO Alpex 4K Lite FAQs

Is the HIKMICRO Alpex 4K Lite bright enough at night?

At dusk and dawn it shows a usable image on its own. In full darkness, like any digital night vision scope, it needs infrared light. A mounted IR torch gives the most reach, and 850 nm or 940 nm torches both suit it. If low light is your main use, the larger 50 mm Alpex models gather more light.

How long does the battery last?

Up to about 7 hours, with a replaceable battery so you can swap in a spare. Compare other series: HIKMICRO Alpex Pro, HIKMICRO Alpex 4K, Nocpix Nite, Pard Night Stalker, DNT Zulus, Pixfra Volans and multispectral scopes.
