RIX DBH D6 Thermal Imaging Riflescope
$8,699.95 GST
The RIX DBH D6 Thermal Imaging Riflescope is a 640×512 thermal scope with a 60mm F1.0 lens, 3× base magnification and 1–6× digital zoom. It has a laser rangefinder that reads to 1200 m, a green laser pointer and a ballistic calculator, and the image shows on a 2560×2560 OLED display. It is the 640 model in the RIX DBH series. At about 1.3kg it is about twice the weight of a Glint G2, suited to a rifle you shoot from a vehicle, a bipod or a sticks rather than one you carry all night.
RIX DBH D6 Features
60mm lens on a 640 sensor
The long 60mm lens puts more pixels on a distant animal, which helps you tell what it is before you zoom. A 60mm eye relief keeps your eye a comfortable distance back from the eyepiece.
Rangefinder, laser pointer and ballistics
Range out to 1200 m, then let the ballistic calculator give you a hold point. The green laser pointer lets a spotter or shooting partner see exactly which animal you are on. Five zero profiles let you swap between rifles or loads, and you can pick from 8 reticle types in 8 colours.
Recording and the RIX+ app
Recoil-activated video starts recording when you fire, so you capture the shot without pressing a button. Footage saves to 64GB of built-in memory at 1280×1280, and the RIX+ app streams the view to your phone over Wi-Fi. Picture-in-picture shows a magnified window while you keep the wider view.
Two 18650 batteries, about 8 hours
The D6 takes two 18650 cells for about 8 hours of use, and you can also run it from USB-C.
DBH D6 or a lighter 640?
If you walk a lot, a 640 from the RIX Leap range carries more easily. See every RIX 640 thermal scope, or read how to choose a thermal scope.
