SmartRest Arca MAXI Lock Clamp

The SmartRest Arca MAXI Lock Clamp is a two-part Arca plate and clamp system that uses grooved side walls (the MAXI locking interface) instead of a smooth dovetail-only Arca face.

How the MAXI lock works

The MAXI Lock Clamp is the receiver for a matching grooved MAXI Lock Plate. Curved interlocking grooves engage when the cam lever is closed so the joint resists slip under load. The cam lever has a spring-loaded pin lock to reduce accidental unlock (manufacturer description).

What it clamps

• MAXI grooved plates (primary interface)
• Picatinny-size rails in the centre channel of the clamp
• Standard Arca on the bottom face, so the clamp can sit on a standard Arca receiver as a converter toward MAXI Lock features

Mounting threads

The underside has three female threaded holes for mounting to plates or tripods with 3/8" or 1/4" male screw heads (manufacturer description).

Typical use

Used under cameras, optics or plates where you want MAXI Lock retention on a tripod or Arca-equipped support. Confirm whether you need the matching MAXI plate for your optic or gun mount before ordering the clamp alone.
